Testimonials from Classictail Puppy Families
We are strong advocates for investing in a top quality Pet Insurance. One we highly recommend is Trupanion
Classictail Puppies are born in our home where they are given constant attention by their dam and their human family. As soon as the puppies are 4 weeks old, they are introduced to various play equipment which resembles a minature Agility Course but age appropriate.  Our puppies leave our home at 8 weeks of age with great confidence because of all the stimuli they receive from people of all ages !!
Our dogs are not kenneld dogs and neither are our puppie born in our home.  We strongly believe that puppies need to get out and explore their environment, learning to climb stairs, run up and down our slopy/level lot, play in a small swimming pool if weather permits, feel lots of different textures of ground that they walk and play on, hear lots of different stimuli before they leave our home.
Each puppy is sold with a
Written Warrantee & Rules of The Road contract. Please note that we sell our puppies on " Limited Registration " to families who are NOT interested in breeding.

CLASSICTAIL PUPPY PHOTOS FROM OUR PREVIOUS LITTERS

Did you know that more and more of our bitches are being bred via Artificial Insemination ?  This technology is allowing breeders to use the best stud dogs possible with out the stress of shipping our girls on an airplane to the stud dog owner. Stud fees cost anywhere from $900 to $1500 on up these days. Breeding via AI's can run between $1800.00 to $2500.00 which includes the Stud fee, AI kits and Boxes, Fed X and Progesterone Testing a few times.  Then there are all the additional  costs of raising a health litter of top quality puppies.

An emergency C-Section is $1500.00 to $3000.00 should that occurr. There are so many hidden costs in raising a litter of puppies that there is no way for a potential puppy buyer to begin to comprehend unless the breeder explains. Health Clearances on all our breeding stock is expensive but it needs to be done.  It would be nice to be able offer families a nice quality AKC Labrador puppy for $500.00 like the old days but that is no longer financially feasable .

Vets will charge anywhere from $ 50 to $60 to Microchip your puppy & then you still have to pay the $20.00 Microchip Registration Fee to get your contact info in their system, but I have decided to start microchipping each puppy before they go to their new homes. Your puppy will be registered before you take it home because I have already paid to enroll each microchip in advance. I write down your name and address on the Avid brochure and I mail it in for you !! It is that easy. I am a big supporter of Microchips in any type of pet. It's a small price to pay should your pet get stolen or lost.
